Fingerpainting with a Twist
Great for younger children to experience painting tactilely as well
as visually.

Materials:
- Jazz paint in assorted colors
- thick paper or glossy finger paint paper
- assorted paint brushes and/or markers
- water (as needed)
- newspaper

Procedure:
- cover work area with newspaper
- squeeze approximately one teaspoon of desired colors far apart from
one another onto paper
- using fingers work the colors toward each other and make designs and
color mixtures covering the entire surface and let dry
- accentuate favorite features with a markers or paint brushes

Handy hints:
Paint that is too thick may crack and fall off of the paper after drying.
