materials:
- Jazz paint in assorted colors
- various paint brushes and/or markers
- white paper
- pencil or chalk
- paint trays
- water
- newspaper

procedure:
- cover work area with newspaper
- draw an eye, making the iris a large circle
- divide the iris into 6 'pie' sections around th pupil
- paint in 3 sections with primary colors leaving a blank space betwen
each one
- mix the primaries into secondary colors and fill in the blank spaces
with teh intermediate hues
- accentuate favorite features with a marker or paint brushes

handy hints:
Paint that is too thick may crack and fall off of the paper after drying.
The tertiary colors can be included as well by adjusting the number of sections
to fill. Try filling each section only with a mixture of black and white
to show a value gradation from darkest to lightest. |
