| Abstract Shapes and Colors |
Good to explore non-representational, abstract, art through use of
color and design.

product(s): Jazz liquid tempera, Jr. Jazz 'truly washable', Jazz
School, or Jazz Gloss |
materials:
- Jazz paint in assorted colors
- thick white paper
- assorted paint brushes and/or markers
- scissors
- glue, paste, rubber cement
- paint trays
- water
- newspaper

procedure:
- cover work area with newspaper
- paint entire paper surface with colors and designs of choice and let
dry
- cut out different shapes
- glue shapes onto second sheet of paper in desired pattern and allow
to dry
- accentuate favorite features with a markers or paint brushes

handy hints:
Paint that is too thick may crack and fall off of the paper after drying.
Encourage freedom of expression without concern for it looking like something.
Music makes a nice accompaniment with this project. |
